In my 11 years of practice I have helped couples and families overcome a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, anger problems and alcohol/drug addictions using traditional (object relations therapy, couples counseling, parenting training, and family psychotherapy) and non-traditional (Eastern philosophy and meditation, art therapy, play therapy, and psychodrama) methods. I believe that all families have the ability to help themselves, but sometimes due to overwhelming life circumstances, hardships, and crises; they become "stuck."
My role as a therapist is to help them to mobilize their own resources, tap into their inner strenghths, and activate their own self healing processes. This can be accomplished by using individual, couples, family, and/or group therapies, based on your specific treatment needs.
