The name of my practice is "Finding Strength Within." I believe that we all possess the ability to discover our own power and capacity to live in a positive, healthy way. As your therapist, I will guide you in moving past old habits, emotional blocks and pain, be they in the form of relationship issues, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or job and family issues.
I am supportive and warm, but also strong enough to help you work through sometimes overwhelming emotions on the path to discovering your own inner strength. I work quickly and efficiently. I do not believe therapy must take years to be effective or long lasting.
I generally work with unconscious processes at the root of emotional issues. I then provide behavioral tools to help you make new choices. I let you make your own choices so you can find you own way, develop your true potential and your own authentic voice in the world.
I work with children, adolescents, individuals and couples. Specialty areas include creative artist's issues, trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and sexual abuse. The goal is to develop a kind, respectful, accepting relationship with yourself and with others. "
