My approach to therapy relies on the premise that our ability to handle difficult situations is determined by the strength of our internal resources. If you are at a low point of your life, or have been struggling with insecurity/ anxiety/ lack of motivation, or have been dealing with relationship problems for some time, or have not been able to move on/ make constructive changes despite your efforts, you may be running low on your internal resources. So how do you replenish those resources? How do you deal with disturbing experiences that continue to hinder your success? How do you stop repeating old, unproductive patterns and start making better choices? How do you become a person who is free to enjoy the precious gifts of life?
I have found that when the right questions are asked, and the person is willing to take an honest look at himself/herself, many problematic issues that seem difficult and/or overwhelming, become less confusing and more manageable. I view therapy as a process that aims at opening new possibilities by dissolving old fears & misconceptions. My goal is to help you build your strength from within, so that you can rely on your inner strength to overcome adversity and guide you in your future endeavors.
I offer individual and couple therapy and have evening time available in Manhattan (180 E 79th St) and Forest Hills, Queens.
