In a supportive and confidential environment, I provide skillful and compassionate counseling services to children, teens, adults, couples and families. My clinical areas of emphasis are: trauma and loss (PTSD, grief/bereavement and many other types of loss) as well as mood disorders (depression/bipolar disorder) in children and adults. Additionally, I work with clients experiencing a wide range of crisis issues and life transitions such as anxiety, abuse, chronic illness, marriage/divorce, parenting, relocation, and aging issues.
Some of the treament modalities that I use include cognitive-behavioral therapy; family systems therapy; solution focused therapy; art therapy, play therapy and sand tray therapy. I am also a Level II trained EMDR practitioner.
It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship needs to be a collaborative effort between the counselor and the client. Through our collaborative relationship, I will assist in empowering you to work through your issues of concern by means of a warm, nonjudgmental & motivational approach to therapy that is directed to effectively meet your needs and goals.
