Learning about and changing ineffective or damaging relational patterns can make all the difference in the happiness and strength of your marriage.
In the course of my doctoral study, I focused my training on marriage and family relationships and wrote my dissertation on the topic of sexuality in long-term relationships. I am in the process of receiving professional certification in the Relationship Empowerment Model of Terrence Real, the best-selling author of the books "The New Rules of Marriage" (2007) and "How Can I Get Through To You?" (2002). Relationship Empowerment Therapy is an exceptional and highly effective approach to diagnosing the problematic dynamics between couples and effectively teaching partners how they can achieve the closeness they yearn for. I currently teach a community-based course on Marriage and Family Relationships, teaching couples more effective strategies in communication and conflict resolution as well as teaching couples relational habits that encourage greater intimacy. I have also taught college-level courses on the subject of human sexuality.
I offer 100 minute sessions on an every-week or every-other-week basis. Much more progress is achieved through a single 100 minute session as compared to two 50 minute sessions, one week apart.
