Nobody I know has run happily into a therapy office. It's usually taken a lot of deliberation, pain, even desperation, to overcome fears about what it would be like to entrust one's vulnerable feelings and thoughts to a stranger who happens to have a helping title. Together, without judgment and with empathy, I help the client unfold his or her story and come to understand what has interfered with and what is needed to achieve the power and ability to get what he or she wants in life; happiness, success, fulfilling relationships, or just feeling like a good person.
In couple treatment, I work to turn repetitive frustrating cycles of arguments and misunderstanding into constructive communication that can draw people toward harmony. To hear my thoughts on my Imago Couples work, go to: http://www.podcastdirectory.com/podshows/2768011
