I concentrate on helping you learn the skills you need to have a better relationship and a better life. Your happiness depends on what you do from this day forward. To improve your relationship, you need to change old habits and learn new skills so that your relationship will thrive and grow.
If you have a troubled teen in the family, then I will work with both them and the rest of the family on teaching skills to resolve conflicts without fighting. I will help your teen understand that, although this is a time in their life when they are learning to be more independent, this time of change does not have to be filled with anger, resentment and hostility. I will also help them understand that the choices they are making will affect them the rest of their lives and they should think carefully about choices they are making concerning drugs, sex and illegal activities. I will help the parents set clear, reasonable and enforceable boundaries.
