We provide unique individual and couples psychotherapy services to individuals who have addictions, relationship issues and mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. We treat the effects of past trauma and family of origin issues, drug and alcohol addiction, compulsive sexual behaviors and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. Psychotherapy sessions focus on reducing mental health symptoms, improving quality of life and moving toward abstinence from addictive behaviors.
By integrating psychodynamic and object relations theory, we use a person-centered approach to address symptom reduction, problematic drug and alcohol use, sexual acting out and emotional dependency. Components of treatment include exploring past traumas and early developmental experiences as well as current life challenges.
Often, inner conflicts are the result of dysfunctional emotional development rooted in past experience. These past traumas and early relational issues can manifest as depression, anxiety and addictive disorders. Therapy allows you to become mindful, emotionally aware and to develop the skills necessary to resolve inner conflicts and pain.
